I have this awesome recipe for tomato soup filled with a lot of vegetables. My children love it because the ingredients cannot be identified when you eat it. I got the recipe from a friend. It is from an old cooking book from Louis Diat, chef at the Ritz in Paris in the early 1900s. The book is called: ‘French cooking for Americans’

The soup is very easy to make, the only thing which is very important while making the soup, is to use a passe-vite. When I got the recipe I did not have one, so I looked for a good cooking supply shop in Delft. I found one: Het Pauwtje.

Despite the fact that cooking is not my hobby, I like stores with cooking supplies. They make me happy. Het Pauwtje sells all kinds of design brands like Marimekko, Stelton, Alessi, IIttala etc. Beautiful things to look at or to expose in your own kitchen!

If you need a good knife or toaster, Het Pauwtje is also the place to be. And if you don’t want any of that, the shop window is always nice to look at.
